Our Independence
Hosting international volunteers locally reduces ongoing rental overhead, ensuring more resources directly benefit our programs. The Guest House provides a safe, welcoming base for those who come to serve.
Since 2010, Healthcare Volunteer Uganda (HVU) in Kassanda has had no proper guest house. Volunteers face difficult conditions, including pit latrines, no reliable water and power, and limited security.

Detailed 12 Room Facility Plans
Healthcare Volunteer Uganda (HVU) is a not-for-profit community-based organization in Kassanda District, Uganda, registered as CBO No. CD.223/0878/11. We have hosted volunteers since May 2010.
To solve our biggest challenge since 2010 - lack of safe volunteer accommodation - we plan to construct a modest 12-roomed guest house.
The 12 rooms = 10 volunteer bedrooms (2 volunteers per room) + 1 dining room + 1 sitting room.
